Three guns and bullets found by ‘school children in bushes’
Three guns and bullets were found on a grassy area close to a primary school.
A group of children found three guns and a stash of ammunition hidden in bushes, according to witnesses.
Police were called to Heywood, Manchester at around 6.30pm last night after reports that a gun had been found.
According to the Manchester Evening News, a group of kids found the weapons close to their school before officers arrived.
Photos show a number of forensic officers searching a grassy area near on Argyle Street, not far from where police were called too.
The weapons will now be sent off for examination, police said.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: ‘Officers attended the Darnhill area in Heywood at around 6:30pm tonight (20 March 2023) after reports a firearm had been found.
‘On attending, three firearms and ammunition were found, and they will be sent off for examination. No arrests have been made.’
