A California Highway Patrol officer was killed when a driver swerved off the road and slammed into the officer’s patrol car, which was parked near an on-ramp to Interstate 880 in Hayward, the CHP said Monday. Andrew Camilleri Sr. 33, of Tracy, a CHP officer since March, was killed in the crash at 11:20 p.m. Sunday, the Highway Patrol said.
