OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City officials announced plans to roll out new trash collection days. About half of Oklahoma City trash collection customers will have a new day for trash, recycling and bulky waste pickup beginning Feb. 5. Angus Crichton is tired of his middle finger and is choosing to get rid of it before the NRL season begins in Australia. The rugby league player, a fullback for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, is opting to have his finger amputated halfway down, instead of playing and risking it getting broken again.

DALLAS — A woman who was hiding a recent miscarriage from her family fatally stabbed a mother and abducted her infant daughter, Houston police said Thursday. CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Police say two children were shot as they slept in their North Carolina apartment. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said in a news release that the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. Thursday.
