MTK Budapest to us covid-containing coating in stadium
July 22 – Face masks, social distancing and hand sanitising aren’t the only way to stop the spread of covid. Hungarian club MTK Budapest is coating areas of its stadium with an antimicrobial coating.
Initially developed by Resystem in Budapest in 2014 to stop the spread of hospital acquired infections (HAIs) and flu outbreaks in public transport networks the antimicrobial coating was also found to be effective against the spread of Covid-19.
The company says that the coating that protects surfaces from the spread of Covid-19 and other pathogens for up to 12 months.
