Police have no suspect in the death of nursing student on University of Georgia campus
Authorities say a woman found dead on the University of Georgia campus was a student at a nearby nursing school. Police say they have no suspect as of Friday morning. Investigators were checking security cameras in the area. School officials advised students to travel in groups and avoid the wooded area where her body was found Thursday. The university's police chief says the woman was found after a friend told police she had not returned from a morning run. The chief says the woman was unconscious and had “visible injuries” when officers found her. Augusta University says the woman was a student at its College of Nursing campus in Athens, which is the same city where the University of Georgia is located.
