(AP) — Student gun control advocates and one of the survivors of the Parkland, Florida, school shooting have finished a 50-mile, four-day march in Massachusetts to the headquarters of gun manufacturer Smith & Wesson. More than 100 protesters rallied outside company headquarters Sunday in Springfield. The marchers condemned Smith & Wesson for making the rifle used in the February mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. The group wants the company to donate $5 million to gun violence research.

NEW YORK (AP) — A little more than a year ago, Sloane Stephens was ranked outside of the top 950 as she tried to work her way back toward the top of tennis after foot surgery. (AP) — Florida authorities are reporting multiple people dead and "many transported" to hospitals after a mass shooting at a riverfront mall in Jacksonville that was hosting a video game tournament. Hurricane Lane secured its place in the history books before it quickly dissipated into a tropical storm and moved off from Hawaii.
