A Prayer For Wealth That Honors God
Finding peace starts with surrendering our worries to the universe and trusting that God’s guidance will meet us in the middle of our uncertainty. Best-selling author of Finding God Every Day, Rebecca Simon, reminds us to trust God’s timing, embrace patience, and lean on His presence through every season of life.
God is not against you having wealth — he is against wealth having you. There is nothing wrong with asking God to bless you financially, as long as your heart is positioned to steward it well, give generously, and use it for his glory. You were created to thrive, not just survive. You were called to be a conduit of blessing, not just a recipient. So pray boldly for provision, for increase, for wealth that honors God and impacts others. He wants to prosper you — not so you can live selfishly, but so you can live purposefully.
God,
I’m asking you for wealth — not to hoard it, not to waste it, and not to let it define me, but rather, to steward it in a way that honors you. I want to be blessed so I can be a blessing. I want to have more than enough so I can give generously, and support your kingdom, and impact the lives of people who need it most.
Break every lie I have believed about money being evil or wealth being incompatible with faith. You said you take pleasure in the prosperity of your servants. You said you came to give us life abundantly. So I’m asking you to prosper me — not just financially, but in wisdom, integrity, and purpose. Give me wealth that doesn’t corrupt my character. Give me a blessing that deepens my dependence on you, not distance from you.
Open doors of opportunity I couldn’t create on my own. Multiply what is in my hands. Give me favor with the right people and wisdom to steward what you entrust to me. Let my wealth be a testimony of your goodness, and a tool for your glory, and a resource to advance your kingdom on earth.
I am ready to receive, God. And I am ready to use it all for your purpose.
Amen.
