Shoppers fill their baskets with Freddos as they’re reduced to just 10p each, with one mum nabbing 30 for £3
THEY haven’t been this price since 2007.
So it won’t come as a shock to anyone that shoppers are racing to Sainsbury’s to nab as many Freddos as they can.
She lined up her chocolate haul to show it off in the TikTok video[/caption]One mum took to TikTok to show off her haul, as she urged people to “hurry on down” to the supermarket while the chocolate frogs are reduced from 25p each.
“So many of you been telling me to get a Nectar card for Sainsbury’s for so long, but I’ve just never got round to doing it,” she admitted.
“Well, Freddo made me do it!
“Sainsbury’s have got an offer on for just one week.
“From the 17th to the 24th April, Freddos are reduced from 25p to 10p.
“I mean, when was the last time you can get Freddos for 10p?”
Admitting she “absolutely loves a Freddo”, she continued to note that there’s a limit of 30 Freddos per person, per transaction.
“I’m sure if I go back tomorrow I can get another 30 if I wanted to,” she laughed.
“So if you’re a fan of a Freddo and you’ve got a local Sainsbury’s, get yourself down and stock up because these are a fantastic treat.
“And if I do the girl maths correctly, these have just saved me £4 50 and that was an absolutely brilliant buy!”
“Definitely wortha quick pop down to Sainsburys before they all sell out!!!” she added in the caption.
She also said that the best before date on the Freddos she’d picked up was 7th June, but added: “I don’t think that they’ll last that long in this house!”
“I’ve just been to Sainsbury’s too & I didn’t see this….. definitely would have got them!” one person commented on the video.
“Oh no! They were on a bottom shelf,” the mum replied.
“25p? They are 85p each here so 10p is a bargain!” another added.
“Yep, great deal just ordered a load for a Friday treat!” a third commented.
Others weren’t impressed by how many Freddos she’d stocked up on.
“Why buy all of them?” one wrote.
“Bit greedy!”
“I didn’t buy all of them,” the mum hit back.
