911 call: Mets closer ‘going crazy’ before Halloween arrest
FORT LEE, N.J. — The wife of New York Mets pitcher Jeurys (JUHR’-yihs) Familia said her husband was drunk and “going crazy” in her call to police following a domestic violence incident on Halloween.
NJ.com reports (http://bit.ly/2f7e2OY ) Bianca Rivas made several frantic 911 calls to Fort Lee police on Oct. 31, beginning at 2:18 a.m.
The 27-year-old relief pitcher was arrested and charged with simple assault after police said he caused “bodily injury to another.” He has pleaded not guilty to the charge, which carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail.
