Armenia, Azerbaijan committed to peace over Karabakh – Warlick
The US co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group has shared his impressions of recent talks between Secretary of State John Kerry and the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents.
“John Kerry spoke with Sargsyan and Aliyev about NKpeace [Nagorno-Karabakh peace]. All reject war and are committed to negotiations. The US stands ready to help.” Ambassador James Warlick tweeted after the meeting.
Secretary Kerry met with Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev on the sidelines of the 2016 NATO summit in Warsaw.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the international event, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg expressed support to the peace efforts between Armenia and Azerbaijan, calling for a negotiated settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
