Trilateral presidential meeting step toward peace – Eduard Sharmazanov
No one expected spotty progress from the Armenian-Azerbaijani-Russian presidential meeting in Saint Petersburg without Nagorno-Karabakh’s participation.
It was a beneficial meeting in terms of relative calm on the Line of Contact, Vice-Speaker of Armenia’s Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters on Tuesday.
“No progress was expected, especially in the light of President Ilham Aliyev’s absurd statement the day before the meeting. I think this meeting has enabled us to make a step toward peace,” Mr Sharmazanov said.
