Twin Cities Marathon
The 31-year-old Twin Cities Marathon course record fell Sunday when Dominic Ondoro crossed the finish line in 2 hours, 8 minutes, 51 seconds.
The time was more than a minute better than the previous record of 2:10.05 set by Phil Coppess in 1985
Kenyan Jane Kibii won the women’s event finishing in 2:30:01 a year after taking second place. She pulled away from the competition on the hills scattered through the second half of the 26.2-mile course from Minneapolis to St. Paul and finished more than two minutes ahead of second-place finisher Sarah Kiptoo.
