Judge declines to drop more charges against John Swallow
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A judge has declined to toss racketeering and obstruction of justice charges against former Utah Attorney General John Swallow, who is on trial in an influence-peddling case.
Swallow's attorneys requested that all the charges be dismissed for a lack of evidence after prosecutors on Thursday dropped three counts of money laundering, bribery and evidence tampering against Swallow after a key witness refused to testify.
