Street Artist Takes Aim at Oscars With Mocking Posters in Hollywood
Los Angeles street artist Sabo, who took on “Birth of a Nation” director Nate Parker last year with modified movie posters saying “Rapist?,” unveiled a new, wide-ranging installation ahead of Sunday’s Oscars.
Sabo also placed fake ads for video rental service Redbox — and even some replica kiosks — around Hollywood and in neighborhoods on L.A.’s Westside, where plenty of actors and showbiz execs live.
Sabo, who has been associated with right-wing personalities and causes he produced artwork to promote Dinesh D’Souza‘s anti-Clinton documentary Hillary’s America:
The Secret History of the Democratic Party, said he was tired of the disrespect he felt his political opinion — and those with similar perspectives — were receiving from the entertainment industry.
