Olga Kern continues her prize-winning ways
For every performer whose career receives a boost from the acclaim and publicity, there are two or three who get a moment in the spotlight, only to sink back into obscurity.
With a combination of formidable keyboard virtuosity and limpid expressiveness, Kern has maintained her career momentum well beyond the point where some other prize winners fall by the wayside.
In the latest of her regular Bay Area appearances, Kern arrives this weekend with a recital program of music by Scarlatti, Beethoven, Schumann and Liszt.
Oshman Family Jewish Community Center, 3921 Fabian Way, Palo Alto. $55.
