Mel Gibson Career Shift: Broad Family Comedy Beckons With ‘Daddy’s Home’ Sequel
Mel Gibson and John Lithgow may be heading back into the world of blockbuster comedy as they are in talks to join Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in the sequel to the Paramount’s 2015 comedy “Daddy’s Home.”
Lithgow received a SAG Award on Sunday for his performance as Winston Churchill in the Netflix series “The Crown.”
Gibson’s war film, “Hacksaw Ridge,” has been nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director.
