West Virginia man sent to prison for illegal gun possession
CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) — Federal authorities say a 33-year-old Shinnston man has been sentenced to 30 months in prison for illegally possession a gun.
According to prosecutors, Andrew N. Debolt was found having a .22-caliber rifle last year. He pleaded guilty in August.
Authorities say Debolt had prior felony convictions for sexual abuse and domestic violence in Harrison County. The convictions prohibit him from having a gun.
The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Clarksburg and state police investigated.
U.S. District Judge Irene Keeley sentenced Debolt on Monday with credit for time served since August.
