Multivehicle collision slows morning commute in Livermore area
Traffic moving westbound on Interstate 580 in the East Bay was delayed Monday morning due to a collision in Livermore involving as many as seven vehicles that blocked three lanes. The crash was reported at 6:11 a.m., with lanes reopening about 25 minutes later in the Altamont Pass area near the North Flynn Road off-ramp. Some drivers complained of pain, but no one was seriously injured, according to the California Highway Patrol. Kimberly Veklerov is a San Francisco Chronicle staff writer.
