Gov. to propose raises, more choices at state liquor stores
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The office of Utah Gov. Gary Herbert is proposing pay raises for employees at state-run liquor stores as part of an effort to improve morale and overall service after criticism from workers and a state lawmaker.
The Deseret News reports (http://bit.ly/1TkWgTq) that state officials said Tuesday that Herbert also wants ensure that shelves are better stocked with a wider selection of alcoholic beverages and restore $500,000 cut from the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control budget last year.
