The Nation's Weather for Monday, March 4, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
As warm air and rich moisture flow northward from the Gulf
of Mexico ahead of a cold front, severe thunderstorms will
be possible tomorrow within a zone extending from East
Texas to Mississippi, and northward into Wisconsin. These
areas will face the risk for damaging winds, hail and even
tornadoes. The latest energetic storm will start to
diminish in parts of the West, with snow continuing from
Northern California through western Washington and Oregon
and into the Rockies from western Colorado to the Canadian
border with Idaho. A storm organizing off the Southeast
coast will bring showers and some thunderstorms to Florida,
with steady rain instead from coastal South Carolina into
the southern Delmarva. The Northeast and the Southwest
should be mainly dry.
