HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Two former employees of a Connecticut-based defense contractor accused of stealing trade secrets are set to go on trial. The trial of Jay Williams, of Griswold, and Jared Sparks, of Ardmore, Oklahoma, is scheduled to begin Monday in federal court in Hartford. Federal prosecutors say the men worked in 2010 and 2011 at Groton-based LBI Inc., which designs and builds unmanned underwater vehicles for the Navy. MOUNT BETHEL, Pa. (AP) — Officials in Pennsylvania say the body of a New Jersey man who disappeared last month while canoeing on the Delaware River has been found. Thirty-nine-year-old Cheeyen Yap of Laurence Harbor, New Jersey was reported missing May 25 after the canoe carrying him and a woman capsized on the river near the Monroe/Northampton county line. CRAWFORD, Neb. (AP) — The fourth annual Fort's Market at Fort Robinson State Park will feature arts, crafts and music. The activities and vendor displays will be based at the park's centrally located Buffalo Barracks from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday. There will also be a bouncy house for children. MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) — Fort Riley is warning residents near the fort in Manhattan to be ready for a lot of noise on certain days up to June 19. The fort said in news release it will be conducting a training exercise involving small arm fire, artillery and demolitions. OXFORD, Ohio (AP) — Students at an Ohio university are helping residents track drug overdose trends with a new app. WVXU-FM reports statistics students at Miami University in southwest Ohio developed the database. The app provides customized data that includes types of drugs, locations and the demographics of overdose victims. LONG BEACH, Miss. (AP) — A national organization says the mayor of a coastal Mississippi city violated the constitution when he led high school students in a prayer last month. The Freedom From Religion Foundation makes the accusation in a letter to Long Beach Mayor George Bass. WLOX-TV reports that the letter says Bass acted in his official government role when he led students in prayer at an awards ceremony. WESTPORT, Conn. (AP) — A funeral for a Connecticut state trooper who died of cancer at age 51 has been scheduled. Flags have been at half-staff across the state in honor of Trooper Walter Greene, who fell ill after responding to New York City following the attack on the World Trade Center. Services are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at the Sherwood Island State Park, the site of the state's memorial to the victims of 9/11. A San Francisco police officer shot and critically wounded a man early Saturday in a foot pursuit in North Beach, officials said. The man, who was not identified, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was being treated for life-threatening injuries, a police spokesman said. A brief statement released by the department said the shooting happened just after 12:15 a.m. on the 1300 block of Grant Avenue, between Vallejo and Green streets. EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. (AP) — A third body has been recovered from a private plane that crashed a week ago off East Hampton, New York, killing four. Newsday reports that police recovered the body Friday from the wreckage of the Piper Navajo that crashed on June 2. The two bodies found earlier have been identified as Bernard and Bonnie Krupinski, both 70 years old. Bernard Krupinski was a builder whose clients included Martha Stewart and Billy Joel. SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — A 48-year-old woman has been sentenced to 90 years in prison for producing pornography involving three young children. Tammy Martin of Carthage in Jefferson County was sentenced in federal court in Syracuse on Thursday.
