At one time, it was reported that San Francisco was home to five octagonal shaped houses, four of which were on Russian Hill. The most famous one, located at 2645 Gough Street, between Green and Union Street, in Cow Hollow, the one on Green Street, in Russian Hill, a tea house on Russian Hill's Fallon Place (was not counted among the 5), once home to a bohemian artist, Styles Dickenson and the one that sits in disrepair at Land's End (also not counted among the 5).
