CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — The West Virginia Department of Agriculture says nominations are being accepted for the state Agriculture and Forestry Hall of Fame. WARSAW, Poland (AP) — The director of a Polish copper mine hit by a cave-in says the death of a third miner has been confirmed while five others remain missing. Pawel Markowski said that a doctor confirmed the death of a miner that the rescuers reached Wednesday morning. He said the rescuers can also see another of the missing miners but have no contact with him and do not know what condition he is in.

Ken Kaiser, Temple's vice president and chief financial officer, says the university's stakeholders have shown their confidence in the school.

Local news media outlets report that the school in Staunton is creating a new unit called University College that will include three residential programs for women and men. The co-educational programs will provide students with bachelor's degrees in health sciences, education and Shakespeare and performing arts.
