Court blocks visits between missing woman's son, mother
BARDSTOWN, Ky. (AP) — The Kentucky Court of Appeals has ruled that the youngest son of missing woman Crystal Rogers can no longer visit his grandmother.
News outlets report that the court on Nov. 2 ruled that the boy's relationship with his father and guardian, Brooks Houck, is more important than his relationship with Rogers' mother, Sherry Ballard.
Rogers disappeared in 2015 and is presumed dead. Sherry Ballard and her husband, Tommy Ballard, filed for grandparent visitation and had kept the 6-year-old on alternating weekends.
Tommy Ballard was fatally shot in 2016. No one has been arrested in Rogers' case or his death.
Houck was named as a suspect in Rogers' disappearance, but has never been charged.
