49ers’ game grades vs. Raiders
Offense
Nick Mullens was beyond brilliant. OK, his debut came against a don’t-cover-anyone defense, but Mr. Anonymous deserves major kudos for quickly setting the tone with back-to-back TD drives. TE George Kittle’s “sick” — Mullens’ word — one-handed, 71-yard grab led to Mullens’ third TD pass. The 49ers had 34 points and 405 yards despite backing off in the final quarter.
Defense
Again, it’s not clear at this point whether the Raiders are an NFL team, but the 49ers dominated them with eight sacks and held them scoreless for the final 54-plus minutes. It will be a major development if DE Cassius Marsh (2.5 sacks) can do that against another offensive line. The 49ers held Oakland to 242 yards and 4.4 yards per play.
