Bicyclist hit by vehicle in Mount Vernon dies
MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say a Mount Vernon woman has died from injuries she suffered when a motorist hit her while she was riding her bicycle.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports 46-year-old Kelly Couture died Tuesday afternoon.
Mount Vernon police Lt. Greg Booth says she was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after a driver struck her at about 8:15 p.m. Saturday.
Booth says she was apparently riding west in an eastbound lane in Mount Vernon when she was hit.
Booth says the driver who struck Couture is cooperating with a police investigation.___
