49ers QB Beathard will be active vs. Raiders
It appears 49ers quarterback C.J. Beathard will start tonight against the Raiders despite dealing with a sprained right wrist that had his status in doubt during the week.
Beathard and backup Nick Mullens will be the quarterbacks on the active 46-man roster after the 49ers released Tom Savage this afternoon. If Beathard couldn’t play tonight, Mullens would have made his first NFL start and Savage would have served as second-string. The 49ers will likely re-sign Savage next week.
In other roster moves, the 49ers activated rookie strong safety Marcell Harris and outside linebacker Dekoda Watson from injured reserve.
