Trimble: 3Q Earnings Snapshot
SUNNYVALE, Calif. (AP) _ Trimble Navigation Ltd. (TRMB) on Thursday reported third-quarter profit of $73.7 million.
The Sunnyvale, California-based company said it had net income of 29 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 49 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 45 cents per share.
The GPS manufacturer posted revenue of $795.2 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $806.8 million.
For the current quarter ending in December, Trimble expects its per-share earnings to range from 44 cents to 48 cents.
