Teen arrested in shooting death at North Las Vegas school
NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — Authorities in North Las Vegas have arrested a teenager in the shooting death of an 18-year-old at a local high school.
North Las Vegas police announced the arrest of the 16-year-old male on Friday. He was booked into jail Thursday on suspicion of murder and possession of a dangerous weapon on school property.
The Associated Press is not naming him because he is a juvenile.
Police say Dalvin Brown was shot last week on the edge of Canyon Springs High School's baseball field. He later died at a hospital.
The Clark County School District says the suspect attends another school in the district.
No court dates have been set for the suspect, and online records do not list an attorney.
