Grains mostly lower, livestock higher
CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were mostly lower Monday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for Sept. delivery was declined 21.20 cents at $4.88 a bushel; Sept. corn was off 1 cent at $3.5320 a bushel; Dec. oats fell .40 cents at $2.47 a bushel while Sep. soybeans was rose 11.80 cents at 8.3820 a bushel.
Beef and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Oct. live cattle was 1.47 cents higher at $1.1052 a pound; Sept. feeder cattle rose 1.10 cents at $1.5278 a pound; Oct. lean hogs was up 2.12 cents at .5620 a pound.
