Muni bus plows into store on SF’s Lombard Street
A Muni bus crashed into a building at Lombard and Scott streets Monday morning, injuring four people and tying up traffic, authorities said.
According to the San Francisco Fire Department, the bus crossed the center divide and collided with a tree and a building housing a dry cleaner in the 2300 block of Lombard Street shortly after 6 a.m. It cleaved the tree in two, and came to a stop with the front half of the bus on the sidewalk and the rear portion in Lombard Street.
Muni spokesman Paul Rose said the bus was traveling on the 28-19th Ave. line but that no other details were yet available.
