School suspends fraternity's activities during investigation
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Louisiana State University has suspended all activities for a fraternity while university officials investigate possible student conduct violations during the first week of university classes.
Citing a letter, The Advocate of Baton Rouge reports the university suspended activities for the Delta Chi fraternity Monday after possible violations during the week of Aug. 19. University spokesman Ernie Ballard III says initial information doesn't show any indication of hazing being an issue.
During the interim suspension, the chapter cannot host or participate in social activities and new members cannot contact current members.
