The Latest: Gun found near school where 2 boys were shot
MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — The Latest on a shooting by a Missoula high school (all times local):
2:30 p.m.
Missoula police found a handgun on the grounds of Sentinel High School where two boys were shot and injured Sunday night.
Capt. Mike Colyer tells ABC Fox Montana the gun was found at about 1 p.m. Monday and will be sent to the state crime lab for testing to help identify the suspect.
Police say the victims likely knew the shooter.
Colyer says the boys are hospitalized, but are expected to recover. They were able to talk to police briefly after the shooting and officers hope to interview them soon.
