Florida prosecutor charges 2 with fraud over charter schools
Last year a grand jury indicted charter school management company Newpoint Education Partners, as well as three other vendors.
State Attorney Bill Eddins alleged in a release that Marcus May, the Newpoint owner, obtained more than $1 million in public money from the schools and used proceeds to acquire property and pay for plastic surgery and cruises.
