Houston gallerist's new art-filled Third Ward home is out of this world
Designed by local architect Brett Zamore and completed last summer, it will be featured on this month's Rice Design Alliance spring architecture tour, which spotlights homes from Houston's original six wards. Paintings by African artists - including Kofi Agorsor, the top-seller at Gite's gallery - blend seamlessly with paintings and sculptures by local artists (Ron Collins, Robert Pruitt) and prominent African-American artists nationwide (Samella Lewis, Elizabeth Catlett, Romare Bearden).
