Jalen Ramsey still pretty unimpressed with former coach Jimbo
The former FSU DB had some things to say about his old head coach.
Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey isn’t afraid to speak his mind. This was made even more evident after he bashed several NFL quarterbacks in a recent interview with GQ Magazine. In it, he says Joe Flacco “sucks,” calls Matt Ryan overrated, and refers to Josh Allen as “trash.”
Well Ramsey isn’t quite done talking yet — in another interview with ESPN’s Mina Kimes, he had some interesting things to say about his former head coach at Florida State, Jimbo Fisher, who’s now at Texas A&M:
Ramsey was widely recruited, ultimately landing at Florida State. He started from day one, the first Florida State cornerback to start as a true freshman since Sanders. “I expected to, and Coach [Jeremy] Pruitt expected me to,” he says of his defensive coordinator. “Nobody else did.” The obvious omission is former head coach Jimbo Fisher, now at Texas A&M. [...]
Ramsey describes Fisher, with uncharacteristic brevity, as “OK.” I tell him I’ve never met the coach. “You’re not missing out,” he replies.
This isn’t exactly the first time Ramsey has made headlines for talking about his former head coach, who is in his first season at A&M. In February, he wasn’t too happy with a Texas A&M recruiting graphic that suggested that Fisher coached Ramsey at cornerback.
He didn’t teach me not one DB technique... #ComeGetSomeRealTruth #GoNoles https://t.co/xb78Pery78

Sure, Fisher’s staff did recruit the other seven guys in that photo, but he’s not a defensive coach. Everyone knows what Jimbo’s paying attention to most in practice and games, and it ain’t defense. Ramsey called the B.S. here perfectly.
Know I have nothing but respect for you Coach Brew but don’t use me on a poster for a school I didn’t go to & for a coach who didn’t teach me how to be a DB.

It’s obvious that Ramsey isn’t afraid to speak his mind, and when he’s talking about his former head coach as popular as Jimbo, it’s gonna make some noise.
