What constitutes a carry? Is a carry only a carry if the carrier is tackled? If so, why don’t the carries of one team equal the tackles of the opposing team? I accept offloading comes into it but I can’t understand Saints having 96 first half carries but the roosters making many more tackles.

This is the one that will be a huge test for us. Toronto brought themselves very close to Warrington on Friday so hopefully we can get over the line. Hopefully Handley isn’t too bad and manages to get the go ahead for the game otherwise we could see Newman back on the wing with A Sutcliffe in the centres. Can't see an official thread for the game so here's this one. Looks like rlfans is following most of the media in pretty much ignoring it. Anyways a close game in the offing but I fancy the Roosters for this one. Roby should be back for saints and easts have a new halfback combo. I went to last year's and it seemed much more high profile than this game. Wonder why?

Beaten by Leeds today, next week’s game a four pointer. Both teams will have a rollicking from their coach, let’s hope our lads come out on top, although pasf few games at Salford we haven’t played well.

If the players were kept back then that is a coaching mistake. As is not freshening up the squad pre game. Yes, the first 40 were good apart from conceding stupid tries from ill discipline.
