Yeah think it was confirmed on the full 80 minutes podcast that Wood and Johnson were never watched by Stone or Woolford.

Think it will be different for Sam, from what I've read he's had a really bright start at Batley, I'd be disappointed if he didn't have a future with us... However, in saying that it does make you wonder given Woolfords comments when we resigned wardle,about us needing depth at back row / centre when we've sent Sam out.

We have been having a loft clearout this week and I've come across approximately 30 old RL programmes dating back to the early 90's. They are predominantly Trinity programmes but there is at least one international programme (GB v Australia at Wembley, I think), also in there. Most are in "as new" condition, but a few are a bit creased.

And Riddys an 80 minute man. Lead from the front Martin, you and Mickey can lead this team to more than I ever thought we could be a couple of months ago. I dont have the knowledge to know where we stand man to man in this league but JD has put together a squad that may just surprise us and several teams. Its going to be a fun year and I didn't expect it. Best of luck to Mickey, Martin and all the team.

Salford were always the red devils as far as I can remember.
I thought they cut "devils" during that period of sooper dooper nfl/baseball/basketball re-branding, I dunno.

Not everything transposed from those sports looks as crass, the marketing of the event, corporate and event entertainment and the general hyperbole introduce was a decent refresh of an old format.
But once you start messing with a hundred years of club identity, it riles people up, not surprising really.

Surely it is simply a case of getting a recording of each game and the coaches watching how these players perform. I can’t think of many that have been loaned out as they can’t make the first team coming back to haunt us when they are sold.
