I suppose it’ll come down to Fitness. We know Lockers and Bateman won’t play and I agree Hamlin has probably earned his place. The feedback from preseason is that he’s really shone, as has Tom Davies.

I've never really been a fan of promotion and relegation, and despite, as you say, P&R being a staple of British sport in general (well, soccer anyway), it has no great history in rugby, either league or union. As you rightly point out, they don't use it in Australia and that is the type of league I'd aim for personally, given the choice.

We don't have enough full-time teams to create two pro leagues anyway and asking teams to do what Leigh did last year is simply asking for the same result to be repeated. Читать дальше...

The season kicks off a week today, what do we expect? How would you line them up? I think Salford are in for a bad year with Koukash leaving and them losing Carney and Dobson, plus Lui unsettled to say the least. I'll predict 10-42 and would line up as such:

If you get Lui, you'll be real top 8 contenders in my opinion, he's class and there aren't many better than him available. suppose it all depends on how much you're willing to pay. If Marwan had been in charge, I think you'd have a better chance of pulling this one off; the fact that supporters now run the club might mean they're unwilling to part with their best player, especially after losing Ben MM.
