UPDATE 1-Brazil real slips after central bank holds rates steady
SAO PAULO, Jan 21 (Reuters) - Brazil's real currency slipped to near its weakest ever against the U.S. dollar on Thursday after the central bank surprised markets by holding interest rates steady, even as inflation is running at more than 10 percent a year.
