PM hits out over reef grant, slams Kristina Keneally
August 10, 2018. Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull speaks to reporters during a visit to the Tonkin and Reid highway interchange that is under construction in Perth. Mr Turnbull says Labor's scrutiny of the controversial $444 million grant to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation is an attempt to undermine a decision to help the reef. On Ms Keneally, Mr Turnbull says the former NSW Premier is "trying to smear out what is a very responsible decision". Mr Turnbull says Ms Keneally "did her best to wreck NSW", was one of the state's "worst" premiers in history and "wasted billions". (AAP Video/Angie Raphael)
