Offa bank robbery: Court grants Kwara governor's aide N10m bail
Yusuf Abdulwahab, the Chief of Staff to the Kwara state governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, arrested for his alleged involvement in the April 5, 2018 Offa bank robbery has been granted bail in the sum of N10 million by a state High Court.

Yusuf Abdulwahab, the chief of staff to the Kwara state governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, arrested for his alleged involvement in the April 5, 2018 Offa bank robbery, has been granted bail in the sum of N10 million by a state high court in Ilorin.
Premium Times reports that Justice M.O. Adewara granted the bail for a sum of N10 million and two sureties in like sum.

Abdulwahab was arrested and detained on June 2, after he honoured a police invite to appear and help with the investigation into the Offa robbery. He was eventually transferred to the police headquarters in Abuja.
Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara state has faulted those linking him and Senate president Bukola Saraki to the robbery incident that claimed many lives in Offa.
The governor condemned the action during an interview after the police sent an invitation to Senator Saraki over the robbery that led to the death of over 30 people.

He said he wondered how such allegation could be made against him and the senate president despite the fact that they have spent many years trying to improve service delivery to the people.
