Erick Montaño vs. Max Griffin added to TUF Latin America 3 Finale in Mexico
Mexico's Erick Montaño will get a quick turn around, as he is scheduled to face Max Griffin at The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3 Finale. The news was announced by UFC Español on Friday.
Montaño recently fought Randy Brown at UFC Fight Night 94 in Hidalgo, Texas about two weeks ago. He lost that fight via third-round guillotine choke. Prior to that, the 30-year-old welterweight defeated Enrique Marin at UFC Fight Night 78, winning the welterweight tournament of TUF: Latin America 2. Montaño is 7-4 as a professional fighter, and 1-1 in the UFC.
Meanwhile, Griffin is also coming off a loss, as he lost his UFC debut to Colby Covington via technical knockout at UFC 202 in August. The 30-year-old American is 12-3 as a professional fighter.
The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3 Finale is set to take place on Nov. 5 at the Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico. Top lightweight contenders Rafael dos Anjos and Tony Ferguson are scheduled to headline the card.
