'King Mo' gets in Tito Ortiz's face at fan event: 'I'm gonna f*ck you up'
Bellator almost had some fireworks between two of its biggest stars one night before its big event.
Muhammed Lawal got into Tito Ortiz's face during a Bellator fan event Thursday night in Houston. Bleacher Report's Jeremy Botter captured the incident on video.
Ortiz and Lawal have a noted history of disliking each other. Lawal has stated many times his desire to fight Ortiz, but Ortiz won't do it. In an interview with BJPenn.com, Ortiz said "King Mo" was "too ghetto" for the two to fight.
"Nobody knows who the f*ck you are," Ortiz told Lawal on Thursday.
The two Bellator light heavyweights came nose to nose as multiple onlookers tried to get in between them.
"I'm gonna f*ck you up," Lawal said.
A bout between the two men -- Ortiz is a former UFC light heavyweight champion and UFC Hall of Famer and Lawal is a former Strikeforce light heavyweight champ -- would be a big one. But Ortiz doesn't seem to be interested and is coming off neck surgery.
Lawal, a self-described "moneyweight" coming off a tournament win at Rizin Fighting Federation on New Year's Eve, has big potential fights coming up in multiple divisions in 2016. Ortiz doesn't seem likely to be one of those opponents at this juncture.
