Morning Report: Dana White drops more than $1 million on son’s 16th birthday party
Conor McGregor may be known for his opulent lifestyle, but UFC President Dana White is really the one living lavish.
Last week, White, who has been known to throw quite the party, outdid himself, renting out Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell in Las Vegas to celebrate his son Aidan’s 16th birthday. It was apparently quite the soiree too, with White calling it “the best party I have ever been to in my life,” per the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
“Aidan’s 16th Day-Night Party” lasted six hours at the Drai’s rooftop pool overlooking the corner of Flamingo Road and the Las Vegas Strip. White also booked a number of entertainment acts, including Migos, Everlast, DJ Carnage, and A$AP Rocky. White’s son was also presented with his own championship-style belt and received a special birthday gift from his father, a customized Land Rover Defender. All in all, the event cost well over $1 million.
This isn’t the first time White has thrown a pricey party for his children. Last year, White rented out the Brooklyn Bowl and hired Kendrick Lamar to perform for his son Dana’s 16th birthday party. But even White admits that this party takes the proverbial cake.
“We’ve done nothing like this,” White said. “Not even close. We were wondering how we were going to top Dana’s party, but we did it.”
