Combat training at Russian base in Armenia intensifies by 1,5 times
“In the training period of 2016, Kamkhud and Alagyaz mountainous training grounds hosted around 3500 weapons practices with small arms and around 500 practices with fighting vehicles, as well as around 20 tactical trainings that included MiG-29 fighters, Mi-8MT and Mi-24P helicopters,” states the Russian military base.
The pilots of “Erebuni” Russian air base made over 500 flights. Total flight hours of the crews of MiG-29 fighters, Mi-8MT and Mi-24P helicopters made over 2000 hours.
At Russian training grounds in Krasnodar and Astrakhan regions, the servicemen of Air Defense subdivisions successfully completed qualifying practices with air targets of various types, using Buk air defense system, S-300 air defense complex and Igla portable air defense system.
Summarizing the results of the combat training of Gyumri and Yerevan military stations, the base Commander, Major General Vladimir Ustinov noted that the servicemen achieved all performance targets.
