President: Armenia approaches "mature stage with faith”
The President told this yesterday during his speech in Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
“What do we want to do and what do we do in reality? I will answer that we want to have a more effective management. The size of our country and our natural resources are modest, and the challenges are huge. We have to solve the big problems with small resources. This is where efficiency of management becomes extremely important. This is the strategic goal of constitutional reform. More democracy, more purposeful fight against corruption. We have a great potential here and it needs to be fully realized”, said Serzh Sargsyan.
Armenian President highlighted that hat the most important achievement in terms of internal life is “respect for freedom of speech and active civil society”.
According to Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian government sees the solution of all problems inside the country in the first place.
“We rely on our strength and capabilities firstly. We fully understand that no one will make our country better but us. We have the responsibility to fulfill our dreams of having a more prosperous and free country.
...We still have a way to go to reach democracy. However, we summarize and close the “newly sovereign” part of our history and enter the “stage of maturity”, concluded the Armenian President.
