Kim Yong-kook named new Invest Korea head

Kim will head Invest Korea, KOTRA’s unit to attract foreign investment, for the next two years. Photo courtesy of Pulse/Maeil Business News Korea Kim received a master’s degree in international finance from University of Michigan and has built his career in the financial industry working at various financial firms, including Samsung Securities and Standard Chartered Securities Korea. “I will work with a sense of duty to attract foreign investment as it contributes significantly to creating new jobs, increasing the international competitiveness of domestic industries, and boosting the local economy,” Kim said.
