DepEd prepares complete implementation of K to 12
If 2015 was like running a marathon, the Department of Education (DepEd) now finds that the finish line is in sight. Education Secretary Armin Luistro said that DepEd is “running a marathon” especially on the fifth year of the implementation of the K to 12 Program – the biggest education reform in the country to date. “We are running a marathon and I can already see the finish line… we are on our last mile,” he said. Luistro said that the year 2015 could be best described as a “year of challenges” – the year before the DepEd fully implements the Senior High School (SHS) Program or Grades 11 and 12 starting next school year, 2016-2017.
