With March Madness in full swing, you may have seen a funny AT&T commercial that showcases Kendrick Perkins, Carmelo Anthony, and TJ Ford, players from the 2003 NBA Draft. In partnership with AT&T, Perk took some time out of his hectic schedule to talk with HoopsHype about a wide range of topics including the brewing sport betting scandals, Draymond Green, Boston Celtics, and more.

It was a painful Friday night for the Sacramento Kings. In the first half of their consequential 107-103 home loss to the Dallas Mavericks, Luka Dončić tumbled after a drive and fell onto the right knee of Malik Monk. Monk left the game and didn’t return. It is feared he suffered a sprained MCL, league sources told The Athletic.

The Kings infamously selected Marvin Bagley III over Doncic during the 2018 NBA Draft. Kings executive Vlade Divac made the call, passing up on his fellow Balkan native for the Duke product. Speaking before the game, Denver coach Michael Malone said Murray was improving but “he’s just not ready to go out there and compete at the level that we need him to.” Malone hinted that Murray might also miss the Nuggets’ Sunday matinee against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but said he wasn’t worried that his star point guard would be out for much longer. “I do think he will be back on the court before the playoffs start” in mid-April, Malone said.
